Tualatin Hills/Mound Time Wins Babe Ruth 14 Year Old World Series

Tualatin Hills/Mound Time won the Babe Ruth 14-Year Old World Series on Friday, defeating host Glen Allen (Va.) 5-4. The visitors from Tualatin Hills broke open a 3-3 tie in the 7th inning with two runs on two wild pitches, a throwing error and a single.
Glen Allen rallied in the bottom of the 7th with a run on two singles and a passed ball, but the game ended when James Armstrong struck out the final Glen Allen batter. Armstrong got the complete-game win for Tualatin Hills.
Tualatin Hills qualified from pool play with a 2-2 record, then on Thursday and Friday swept through three games of the single elimination championship bracket, outscoring its opponents 22-6.
